Not all 3D printing services are the same. I have had the same part printed by different printers and they came out slightly different.
Compass holder for Vixen HAL130 SX tripod or SX half pillar
Holds a Silva old Type 7 compass to the Vixen HAL130 SX tripod to position tripod North.
The top recess can be changed for other types of compasses.
This makes it much easier to align the tripod North before dark and for solar viewing.
Made with white PLA with a layer height of 200 µm.

I also made a 38 degree latitude block to use with the compass holder.
This will allow the compass holder to be attached to a mouny with a Vixen style dovetial saddle.
